THRIVE Coach

JEFF ZAMORA

Jeff Zamora is a certified Executive Function Coach with a background in both school counseling and clinical crisis counseling. He brings a humanistic yet pragmatic approach to his work, meeting clients exactly where they are and supporting them in getting where they want to go.

In sessions, Coach Zamora creates a nonjudgmental space to explore goals, obstacles, and setbacks. He draws on positive psychology strategies to help clients build healthier self-talk, strengthen self-awareness, and develop a growth mindset.

Having successfully navigated the complexities of his own ADHD, Jeff understands first-hand how developing strong executive functioning skills can make everyday life feel more manageable, productive, and fulfilling. He is passionate about helping clients better understand themselves, strengthen self-regulation, and build sustainable systems for success.

Coach Zamora primarily works with children, adolescents, and young adults, helping students and athletes strengthen executive functioning, build confidence, and develop the mindset and skills needed to perform at their best.

THRIVE Coach

SHAWN AYCOCK

With a master's degree in education and certifications as a Reading Specialist and Executive Function Coach, Shawn Aycock has more than 20 years of experience supporting students and families. She also has the perspective of a parent raising children with ADHD, giving her a deep appreciation for the strengths and challenges of neurodivergent learners.

Shawn understands that navigating executive functioning challenges requires more than organizational tips or one-size-fits-all solutions. She helps students and families develop customized, sustainable systems for incremental behavior change and lasting success.

As an Ironman triathlete, Shawn knows the power of determination and grit. She draws on her experience as an endurance athlete to help students break overwhelming goals into manageable steps that gradually build confidence, self-trust, and resilience.

Coach Aycock works with students and parents, helping families better understand executive functioning, emotional regulation, and how to collaborate effectively with school teams to help students thrive.

Karen Beals

Karen Beals is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and Executive Function Coach with more than 17 years of experience and advanced training in leadership development, trauma-informed practice, and ADHD. With a calm and grounded presence that helps each client feel truly seen and heard, Karen’s attuned approach fosters greater self-compassion, insight, and intentional action.

Karen believes that meaningful change begins with a deeper understanding of how we are each uniquely wired. She helps clients use that self-knowledge to develop personalized approaches to organization, time management, and follow-through that reduce exhaustion and burnout.

Drawing on years of experience supporting individuals through turbulence and change, Karen knows that systems and tools can only take you so far. She helps clients uncover the patterns that may be holding them back so they can explore new ways of thinking and responding.

Coach Beals works with teens, college students, and adults, supporting individuals as they navigate executive functioning challenges, relationship dynamics, and life transitions. She is passionate about helping clients gain clarity, build momentum, and prepare for their next chapter.

Senior Coach

NICKI RINALDI

Nicki Rinaldi is a certified Executive Function Coach and Speech-Language Pathologist who believes meaningful change begins with understanding how the brain and body work together. She is deeply passionate about neuroscience, mental health, exercise, and nutrition, and how these foundations support focus, resilience, and personal growth.

Through her work with high school students in a public school setting, Nicki has developed a deep understanding of the academic, social, and emotional demands today’s teens face. She helps students navigate these challenges while building the skills, confidence, and self-awareness needed to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

As a lifelong athlete and competitive softball player, Nicki understands the value of discipline, perseverance, and consistent effort. She draws on her experiences as an athlete to help students build sustainable systems, strengthen self-trust, and develop the confidence to pursue meaningful goals.

Coach Rinaldi works primarily with middle and high school students and student-athletes, helping them build the skills needed to thrive academically, athletically, and personally.

Founder & Executive Director

DR. Colleen Steele

Dr. Steele knows firsthand what it's like to be a teen balancing competitive gymnastics, singing, academics, and ADHD. Her lived experience, combined with extensive research, informed the development of the THRIVE Coaching Model™, an evidence-based approach rooted in cognitive neuroscience, performance psychology, and behavior change.

She oversees the client experience from the initial consultation through coach matching and ongoing support. She takes time to understand each client's strengths, challenges, and goals before thoughtfully connecting them with the best coaching fit.

Throughout the coaching process, Dr. Steele remains actively involved, helping families navigate complex challenges and connect with the resources, professionals, and supports best suited to their needs. She also leads and mentors the coaching team, ensuring every client receives individualized support aligned with the THRIVE model.

While her availability for coaching new clients is limited, Dr. Steele remains passionate about helping students and adults navigate executive functioning challenges, identity development, and major life transitions with confidence.
